Moonshine Doughnuts

Mathew and Simon, of Moonshine Doughnuts, are two Edmonton bakers and besties who have been bringing artisanal traditional baked doughnuts to City Market Downtown since 2013. The doughnuts are egg and dairy-free, vegan-friendly, always made fresh and always tasty. Flavours vary by season and by the taste of the chef (usually Matthew) – expect classics and new experiments in each weekly box of four.

Amazing things have happened for Moonshine Doughnuts since setting up shop on 104th street – their doughnuts have been featured in Avenue Magazine, the Edmonton Journal, and West Jet’s UP magazine, and even the pages of Vogue! Matthew and Simon also competed on Food Network Canada’s Donut Showdown in 2014, and opened a new kitchen and storefront earlier this year. Both love the atmosphere and friendliness of their neighbours and patrons at City Market Downtown, and believe strongly that the market is the best place to try new ideas and products and to get to know your customers first-hand. They hope to see you at the doughnut stand soon!
