104th Street Community Tables

At City Market Downtown we take great pride in our partnerships with local community events and projects. Below you can find the confirmed community table exhibitors for the 2017 summer market season. If you are non-profit or community group and would like to apply to display a community table you can download a Community Table Application or for more information contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Below is a list of the currently confirmed community tables on 104th Street:

Organization Of Alberta Students In Speech(OASIS) promotes professional development within the realms of speech, language and hearing. They will be raising awareness regarding speech, language and hearing in our community. (May 20th)

Public Science Institute is a federal not-for profit science outreach and advocacy group. Their organization consists of scientists and communicators who share the goal of making science more accessible to the public. They will be teaching kids the importance of soil and how it impacts plants and life. (May 27th)

Homeward Walk/Run is being held on June 18 and will raise funds for homeless youth programs in order to help get youth off of the streets. (June 3rd)

The City of Edmonton will be creating awareness regarding citizen friendly public engagement participation information. (June 10th)

Events Edmonton – Taste of Edmonton is returning this July 21-30 in Churchill Square. They will be launching their 2017 lineup at the market with samples of new dishes and the presale of Taste of Edmonton Tickets. (June 17th and June 24th)

The Works Art & Design Festival is entering into its 32nd year! The event attracts artists, designers and patrons from around the world and runs for 13 days during the summer, showcasing Edmonton’s best artists and designer’s. (June 24th)

Edmonton Opera is a non-profit arts organization in Edmonton. Their purpose and vision is to present Opera that moves and inspires audiences. They are committed to offering high quality education programs and to contribute to the versatile culture and arts scene in Edmonton. (July 8th)

Downtown Business Association‘s  primary role is to maintain and increase the vitality – both real and perceived – of the downtown core of Edmonton. They will be promoting their free historical walking tours of downtown Edmonton and will be handing out free guides of places to visit. (July 8th)

The City of Edmonton – Blatchford is transforming 536 acres in the heart of Edmonton to one of the world’s largest sustainable communities.This community significantly reduces its ecological footprint and empowers residents to pursue sustainable lifestyle choices. (July 15th)

CJSR 88.5 FM has programming that provides a voice for marginalized communities and perspectives from across Edmonton, a home for underground music, and a place to push boundaries in terrestrial radio. (July 22nd)

Terry Fox Run – Edmonton is happening Septemeber 17, 2017 at Kinsmen Park. There will also be live music and a free barbecue! (July 29th and August 26th)

Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that educates the community about sun safety. (August 5th)

Edmonton Junior Tennis Society is a program funded and supported by Tennis Canada. They will be creating awareness of tennis groups in Edmonton for  youth to join and keep active. (August 12th)

U of A Research Group is studying the the effects of fiber on the bacteria in our gut and how this contributes to our overall health. They will be recruiting participants and bringing awareness to the project. (August 19th)

Diabetes Canada aims to create awareness around Diabetes and educate the public on treatment and prevention. (September 2nd)

Shinerama is Canada’s largest post-secondary fundraiser in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Over 35,000 student volunteers from 50 Canadian universities and colleges across the country come together every year to make a difference in the lives of those battling cystic fibrosis (CF). (September 9th)

Food Processing Development Centre is a branch of Alberta Agriculture and Foresty that will be recruiting consumers to provide feedback regarding new and existing food products. (September 16th)

Downtown Edmonton Community League (DECL) represents downtown residents in matters of development, parks, politics, and other issues. They will be offering memberships for te downtown community. (September 23rd)

Animal Cancer Therapy Subzidation Society is a non-profit society dedicated to bringing affordable modern veterinary cancer treatment to veterinary cancer patients. (September 3oth)
