How long is the Market inside City Hall?
The City Market Downtown moved indoors to City Hall in mid-October 2011. The Market is inside City Hall every Saturday until May 12th. On May 19th, we move back outdoors to 104th Street.
What are the Market’s hours while at City Hall?
The City Market Downtown at City Hall is open every Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
What vendors are going to be at the City Hall market?
Nearly 60 of your favourite vendors join us for the City Hall markets. Check out the current list of vendors. Just as it was on 104th Street, some of our vendors will only be there for certain Saturdays, so make sure you talk to your favourite vendors and find out their market schedule.
Is the market moving back to 104th Street?
Yes! Our move to City Hall allows the City Market Downtown to be year round. We will stay at City Hall until May 19th and then we will move back to our signature place on 104th Street.
Where do I park when I go to City Hall?
Parking is easy. You can park in the heated, underground parkade at City Hall for $1 for 2 hours (the parkade has meters so you will need to bring change). Vendors and customers MUST plug the meters – you risk getting a ticket if you do not. You can also park at Manulife Place any Saturday, year round and get 3 hours of parking for $1. You can also take public transit to get to the City Hall market. If you are taking the LRT, get off at the Churchill stop. Check out the City of Edmonton’s ETS trip planner to help you get here.
Is Kids in the Hall Bistro open during the Market?
Yes, we are excited that Kids in the Hall Bistro will be open on Saturdays when the Market is open. Make sure you stop by this great, local restaurant for coffee or lunch.
Are you still looking for more vendors and buskers for the City Hall market, and for when you move back to 104th Street?

Are you open during the week this week?

Hi Jen. Our farmers’ market is only open on Saturdays. During the winter months, we are open from 10am to 3pm and we are located inside City Hall. In May, we move outdoors to 104th Street. Hope you can shop our market soon.

On Saturday, November 19th, will the Market be open past 3:00 pm to accommodate people coming down for the Christmas light-up?

Hi Liz, great question. This Saturday (November 19), the City Market Downtown will have approximately 47 vendors inside City Hall and 20 vendors outside for the Christmas Light-Up in Churchill Square. The outside vendors will be open till 6pm, and the vendors inside City Hall are encouraged to stay open till at least 5pm. As usual, the Market opens at 10am. Hope to see you there!

Wondering if the Market will be relocated to the basement parkade on any of the Saturdays before Christmas.

Hi Ivy, the Market will be in the parkade on December 10 and January 21 as there are events booked for the main floor on those days. On all other Saturdays, you will find your favorite vendors on the main floor of City Hall.

Hi Jenni, our farmers’ market runs every Saturday, from 10am to 3pm, inside City Hall. In May, we will move back outdoors to our regular home on 104th Street. Please note that our market day is always Saturday, whether we are inside City Hall in the winter, or outdoors on 104th Street in the spring and summer.

Thanks for the reply – I knew about Saturdays, just mentioned that the “City of Edmonton” website refers to Sundays …. I have been enjoying the atmosphere at City Hall – so nice to see it busy on weekends!

Are all the vedors on one floor or will I be using stairs? I ask because I have an infant in a stroller. Thanks.

All of our vendors are on the main floor of City Hall. You can park underneath City Hall ($1 for 2 hours) and take the elevator up to the main floor. You will have no issues with a stroller at the Market. Hope to see you soon – we are back on January 7th.
